A Week of Vintage- Neville the concrete Stork

Neville was headed for landfill when we rescued him. The conversation with Mr Bell:

Me: Claudia's got a 1950s concrete stork in her garden.
Mr Bell: She's lucky.
Me: No, _we're_ lucky, because she's throwing it away!
Mr Bell: (*groan*)

Here he is in his natural habitat. This is our former driveway, turned into a garden. Two years ago we planted the strip out using permaculture principles for climate control, water efficiency, habitat, dog- and child- friendliness, privacy and beauty.

Here you see Miss Brown giving it her seal of approval.

Hoorah for Neville - he's an absolute icon. I love him! He just needs a swan friend now ... the sort where you can pop a few potted plants in its back.
