Blogtoberfest Blog Crawl: Issue # 4- gardens

The Melbourne Cup is approaching and we all know what that means...yes, time to plant tomato seedlings! We started early, and planted a Tiny Tim in the Bug's pot and a Red Rambling in mine. Tomorrow we're off to the Spring into Gardening fete, so today's Blogtoberfest is all about the garden.

We'll start with some spring philosophy from Hugo and Elsa:"...it's good to talk to plants because they breath in the air we speak out";

Sparkly Green Knickers has been planting out some toms in a tub in her potted vegie patch;

Shellbells has been getting up close and personal with the flowers in her garden;

while Sum of Mum is yearning for a northern hemisphere harvest and some strangely shaped gourds.

Inappropriate German Phrase of the Day courtesy of Babelfish Translator:
  • "Ich habe ein ungewöhnliches Wachstum."
Use this phrase with abandon, or visit Babelfish to translate this one back into English.

Hope to see you at the Spring into Gardening fair! I'll be the one with the large camera and the small brown dog.

Traurig, über Ihr ungewöhnliches Wachstum zu hören

Thanks for the reminder about the Stonnington Gardening Fete - I'll be there with the young boy decked out in pink!

I just translated my German reply to your inapropriate quote of the day, and it didn't really make sense - it's meant to read "Sorry to hear about your unusual growth" - but in German!

Thanks guys! P.S. The beauty of the babelfish is that the more times you translate the same phrase back and forth, the richer it becomes!
