I've been having heaps of fun
printing fabric in my inkjet printer, and thought I'd share another inkjet technique. I decorated these t-shirts for my nephews using a commercial product made by Avery, called
Inspired(TM) Colour T-Shirt Projects in A4 size. Avery also make printer sheets for white t-shirts, although the method is different. Here's how it's done:

1. Open a word processor A4 document and insert your images. I found these through
Google Images. Do a test print on plain paper. N.B. Don't print as a mirror image.

2. Put the transfer sheet into your printer, to print on the white side of the paper. Follow packet instructions for print setting on your printer. I have a Canon and used High Quality setting.

3. Cut out your design with a craft knife.

4. Peel backing paper from image; place image face-up on your fabric.

5. Cover image with supplied overlay paper; iron, pressing hard with a hot, dry iron. And you're done! Peel back the paper and leave 24 hours before washing. If you need to iron again, always use the overlay paper. And don't tumble-dry.
And it's not just for t-shirts- I made
this bag and
these doll dresses. Do you have a project for this technique?

All this is too complicated for me, but I did like that you asked to write in about veggie patches and stuff! I have one! Winter is approaching in India, and it's the cold season veggie time. I can't wait.

Nice one! They look fantastic - I'm sure they will be very popular with the nephews. I love that Avery t-shirt project paper. I've been having fun using a bit of it for labels, etc (haven't done anything quite as spectacular as Star Wars pics yet though!).
Cor, blimey, those are great! I will be keeping an eye open for that paper stuff now, too....
