Veg About: meet the pots

My vegetable love should grow
Vaster than empires, and more slow.

Andrew Marvell, 'To His Coy Mistress', mid-17th century England.

Not sure exactly what this randy poet was referring to. Anyway, allow to introduce my self-watering vegie pots.

Pot 1: Climbing Beans, 'Blue Lake'- planted from seed; Sweet Basil- seedlings; Tomato 'Red Rambling'- seedling. Planted 12 October.

Pot 2: Zucchini 'Black Jack', planted from seed; Coriander- seedlings. Planted 12 October.

Pot 3 (front), The Bug's pot: two strawberries; cherry tomato 'Tiny Tim'; viola. Planted from seedlings October 12. Patted regularly with great care.

Pot 4 (back): Coriander, Sweet Basil, French Marigold (also the Bug's). Planted from seedlings October 12.

Here's how they're looking after two weeks.

How does your garden grow? I'm having a Veg About, if you'd like to join me and blog your patch, join here!

Ha! Growing veggies! It's nice to see your veggies grow, but here in Canada it's getting a little chilly to grow some now! Uuummmm.....I could show some beautiful Autumn leaves, and acorns and chestnuts.....

....but I do love peeking in to your nice, warm world!

Looking great! How big are those pots? I have got a few veggies in pots, but I do struggle to give them enough nutrients later when they are getting big. Any cool tips?

Hi from WTBAY!

I just planted my vege pots yesterday! Not sure how they'll go as I've only ever done tomatoes before (and you have to work hard to kill a tomato plant) but here's hoping... :)
