Luscious Leftovers

I made this neck warmer from Malka Dubrawsky's pattern in Fresh Quilting. I'm very happy to say it was made entirely from material in the house, mostly left over from other projects!

There's some Suzuko Koseki linen/cotton from Linda, which is left over from my forthcoming  Paris Match quilt, some silk dupion from this seal softie, some cotton from my big red quilt, some Ink & Spindle linen/cotton and a gorgeous vintage shell button that I had bought to make a brooch.

Single Girl Arches Complete!

I've completed five sets of arches for my single girl quilt. Here's one set, using 31 different whites and off-whites. In the natural light they look beautifully soft and serene.

I'm going to love this quilt because when I look at it I think of the kind friends who have given me these fabrics. A great many are from our friend Lynne from 'up the road', and there's at least one, second from the left in the front row, that I'm certain Lynne must have used to make one of her beautiful birds.

I had originally planned to use five rings and make the rest of the quilt plain, but having seen these beauties in the Flickr group, I'm really considering doing all twenty rings!
